T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Dec. 15, 2004

Morning!
Yesterday, I gave a "list" of some
of the areas in our life that we need to "simplify". It did
not include every area, but I will start with those and add others as
we go along. I should have included our "thought-life",
because that is the area where most of our "clutter" is!
However, I have talked about this area so many times in
previous "encouragements" (you can refer back to them through our
"Archives" on the web site), so I will just "summarize"
...Whatever you think about the most, will be what "controls" you.
In other words, it will take you "captive"....and The Word of God
says that we are supposed to "take our thoughts
captive" (2Corinthians 10:5). So, stop and "think
about what you are thinking about"! Philippians 4:8 tells us how we
can know whether or not we are thinking like God wants us to
think! I want to encourage you to read that scripture.
Remember this, the "battlefield"
is in the mind.....If we allow the devil to control our
"thoughts", then he can control our "lives". This
has gone in a different direction from what I was going to talk about,
but it is what The Lord wanted to say and it still has everything to do with
"simplifying" your life! So, I am going to say it one
more time.......STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT!
I believe that The Lord is "laying a
foundation" for us, so that we can simplify every
"area" of our lives!
Thank you for your "patience"
with me....it takes time to "build", but we have to lay
the foundation first! This way, we know that what we are
"building" will be able to withstand the "storms" (Matthew 7:
24-27).
I will continue to "build" tomorrow~~~~~~~
