T.O.D.A.Y.'S  ENCOURAGEMENT for Aug. 16, 2005

Good Morning!

Okay!  I am going to send you those scriptures that I promised to send.  Remember, they relate to what I talked about last week. So, you may want to refer back to the "encouragements" for Aug. 11 & 12.  If any of you are upset with me for being "tardy" about sending them, then now that I am sending them, I hope you will take time to look them up and read them!

When you "ask" the Lord for something,  you need to have a scripture to "stand on", because He says that in order to get our requests granted, we must "ask" according to His "will".  So, if you can find a promise in the Bible that relates to your request, then you can know that you are asking according to His "will"!  This is what gives us "confidence" that our prayers will be answered (1John 5:14 & 15).

Here are the "scriptures" that relate to the three things I mentioned in the August 11 encouragement (refer back to that one) ~~~~~~~

If you have a "need" in your life....stand on Philippians 4:19
If you need to "find" something....stand on Luke 12:2 (and read the reference scriptures that are there).
If you need a way out of something, or a way into something...stand on Revelation 3:7 (this talks about God "opening" and "shutting" doors). There are other scriptures about this, so check your concordance.

I could keep giving you "scriptures" to stand on from now 'till Jesus comes back again, but I know that a lot of you already know these "scriptures" and if you don't then I believe that once you start "seeking" (by reading God's Word), then The Holy Spirit will "reveal" other scriptures to you.  The Bible is the most "exciting" book that I have ever read!

Let me add one more "scripture"~~~~~If you are praying for a "lost" relative....then stand on Acts 16:31 which says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, AND your household"!   This is a "covenant" promise from Almighty God!  Just think about it.....your "household" is your "family".  So, this includes everyone that is related to you.....your spouse, your children, your brothers and sisters, your aunts and uncles and cousins, your nephews and nieces, your in-laws and outlaws!

Praise God!  Somebody ought to be shouting "Halleluiah" and "Thank you Jesus"!

Have a Blessed Day!!             (Stand on "The Word"!)          In His Love, Luanne
