Good
Morning!
If
any of you have a television in your home, then you are probably aware of the
"famine" in Niger and other places. This is "Bad News".
It hurts me to see the evidence of "hunger and thirst"
on the faces of these people, especially the little children! I am sure
you feel the same way...it is very "depressing", and I don't like to
see that! However, it has made me think about what I want to share
with you today.
Please
understand that what I am going to share, is not to imply in any way,
that I do not "care" about the above situation! I believe that
we should pray and do whatever we can do to help those precious people, but
let me tell you how I feel when I see people who "hunger and thirst"
after the things of God! Instead of "hurting" me or
"depressing" me...it "encourages" me! This is
something that I "do" like to see! In fact, it bothers me if
I don't see it!
Jesus
said..."Blessed are those that hunger and thirst after
righteousness, for they shall be filled"! (Matthew 5:6). You
know what? I continue to "hunger and thirst" for more of God.
Let me put it this way...when we are naturally "hungry and
thirsty", we can eat and drink and be "filled". However, we can
still get "hungry and thirsty" again! That is the way it
is with us "spiritually"....we should continually have that
"hunger and thirst" for God and His Word!
There
will never be a "famine" for the children of God who are
"hungry and thirsty" for Him! You can go to the "Word of
God" and find bread and water!
Well,
guys and gals...is this "Good News"! Can I get an
"AMEN"?
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Are you hungry and
thirsty?) In His Love, Luanne
