Good
Morning!
Getting
back to the scripture we talked about last week, let's read it
again...."Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen". That is what Hebrews 11:1 says and it is a
very "familiar" verse of scripture, but as I have said
before....sometimes we have a tendency to "speed-read" the familiar!
In other words, we don't take time to "STOP, LOOK, AND
LISTEN" (that is another message in itself), so I will talk more about
that later!
Today,
I want to begin to take the "related" scriptures that I used concerning
Hebrews 11:1, and help you to see the "simplicity" that is contained
in this scripture! If you have missed any of the previous encouragements
about this, you can go to our website and find them in the "Archive"
section. I may not be able bring it all "together"
today, but I will keep going until I do!
First
of all, the Lord showed us that "faith" simply means to TRUST. If
you will get hold of what God wants us to know about this, it will keep you
from "struggling" to MUSTER UP ENOUGH FAITH! Oh! precious
ones, if you will allow the Holy Spirit to give you a revelation about what He
is about to say, it can make such a difference in your life!
Over
and over again, God tells us to "trust" Him...right? Well,
then think about it this way~~~~When someone says to you..."Trust
me", then they are the one that is "responsible" to keep
their word, not you! You either "believe" them or you don't.
It depends on their "track record"...if they have failed
to keep their "promise" to you in the past, then it will be
hard for you to "trust" them. With that in mind...take a look
at God's "track record".....whatever He says He will do, HE WILL DO! "God
is faithful---reliable, trust-worthy, ever true to His promise, and He can be
depended on" (1Corinthians 1:9 Amplified Bible).
I
know we have only covered "one" word in Hebrews 11:1, but "this
just goes to show you" how much there is to glean from this verse of
scripture! There is so much more.....don't you just love the
"Word of God"? See you tomorrow~~~~~
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Are you "trusting" or
"struggling"?) In His Love, Luanne
