Good Morning!

Before we continue on with the "insight" that The Lord is wanting us to receive from the "Proverbs", I want to lay a foundation for this study...and I understand that a lot of you already know what I am about to say, but I am going to share it anyway, for those that might not know.  I believe in staying "teachable"...no matter how much we "think" we know about The Word, I have learned that "repetition" helps us to have even more "revelation"!  God, Himself, set up that principle, and it is evident all through the Bible.

The book of Proverbs is mainly about "contrasts".  It shows us the contrast between the "wicked" and the "righteous", and between the "foolish" and the "wise".

We, as Christians, are not the "wicked", we are the "righteous".  We have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus and His finished work on the cross.  However, if we "behave" like the "wicked", then we put ourselves in a position to reap the same results that Proverbs talks about.

Also, as Christians, we are not "fools" (Psalms 14:1 tells us that the "fool" says in his heart, "there is no God".)  So, obviously, we are not "fools"...however, if we choose to be "foolish", instead of walking in the "wisdom of God" that has been made available to us, then, again, we put ourselves in a position to experience the same "results" that we read about in the Word.

Acting like the "wicked" and the "foolish" will not keep us from going to Heaven (if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior), but it will keep us from walking in the blessings that God has for us here on earth!

I encourage you, today, to keep these things in mind as you take your "daily journey" through the Proverbs!  Chapter 7 is all about  "making" the right or wrong "choices", and about "taking" the right or wrong "paths".

Have a Blessed Day!!     In His Love,    Luanne
