T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for Apr.12th, 2002

Good Morning!
            Evidently there are a lot of people out there that are in some kind of battle.... you are feeling pressure and opposition coming against you.  The Word of God calls it "Trials and Tribulations".  It happens to all of us at one time or another.  Jesus said that "persecution" was going to come to us in this world...BUT He also told us that when this happens, to "be of good cheer" because He has overcome the world!  In other words The Lord was saying that we don't have to let all this overcome us because we are not going through this all alone.  He is with us to give us the victory. (John 16:33)

So today I am going to use the words of another one of my songs to encourage you and we are going to take a little more of a light-hearted approach.  When we rejoice in the midst of our battles, it confuses the enemy!

                        WHEN WE'RE IN A BATTLE
                        THERE IS ONE THING WE NEED TO SEE
                        THE BIGGER THE BATTLE
                        THE SWEETER THE VICTORY!

                        OH, HOW SWEET IT IS WHEN WE WIN
                        WELL, WE NEED TO REMEMBER
                        THAT GOD SAYS   WE ALWAYS WIN
                        THE BIGGER THE BATTLE
                        THE SWEETER THE VICTORY

                        WITH GOD'S ARMOR ON, WE STAND THERE
                        AND HAVING DONE ALL TO STAND,
                        WE JUST KEEP STANDING THERE!

                        WE ARE TREES PLANTED BY THE WATER
                        AND WE WILL NOT BE MOVED
                        NO MATTER   HOW HOT THE WATER!

                        THE SWEETER THE VICTORY!! **

So lift up your head, let God put a smile on your face and a song in your heart.  He said that He would fight your battles for you, and you know why?  Because to Him, YOU are worth fighting for.  So now all you have to do is..."Stand still and see the salvation of The Lord!
