Good Morning!
I am being so blessed by this
series on "Simple is Good"!
Even though I am the one doing the writing, it is actually like a refresher
course for me. We all need to be
reminded from time to time what The Lord has revealed to us.
Yesterday we started looking
at "complicated problems vs. simple solutions". Especially concerning the
"CLUTTER" in our lives. Topic # 1 being the clutter in our
house, etc.
# 2. Our minds
(thought life)
Problem: confusion, fear,
doubt, indecision, questions, etc.
Solution:
First of all, we need to believe what The Lord
tells us in Isaiah 26:3...and that is that He will keep us in perfect peace
if our
minds are stayed upon Him.
Now I realize that there is more involved with clearing up a cluttered mind besides just quoting
the above scripture, but once we find out what is causing the problems, and
begin the cleaning up process, then that scripture can help us keep the clutter
out!
What are some of the reasons we have the clutter in the first place? One
of them is: trying to figure everything out...like why did that
happen? How did that happen? When am I going to get what I need? How am I going to get it? What do I do if I don't get it? Maybe
it will happen this way or that way...I am getting tired, frustrated
and depressed just typing all this junk because I remember when I used to have
this problem.
Another way we waste precious time and energy is: Having conversations
with people "in our minds"! Future and Past conversations. The future ones (which may or may not
ever
actually take place) go something like this..."Well, they are going to say
this and I am going to say that and then they are going to say that and I am
going to say this" PULEEEZ!!!
And the Past conversations we have are equally as crazy. It is like
putting a tape on in your mind and playing it over and over and over because
you keep pushing the rewind button so you can hear it again and maybe figure
out why you said what you said or why you should have said something else.
This all sounds very comical and even harmless but believe me; it could
be "hazardous to your health". We will talk about why
tomorrow.
Have a Blessed
Day!
In His Love, Luanne
We welcome your comments and
prayer requests.
