T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT (Intimacy) for April 10. 2018

Praise The Lord! I want to thank all of you that responded to the messages I sent last week. It was very encouraging and "heart-warming" for me! I know The Lord will bless you, because He has said that He would always bless those that bless me. So, be expecting!! Now let's get going with the "intimacy" messages.......
We were created to have a personal, intimate relationship and fellowship with The Lord! We can have that with Him when we realize that it will develop through becoming continually aware of His "presence".
Jesus tells us in the 14th chapter of John that The Holy Spirit will come to abide in us forever. To "abide" means to "dwell, take up residence and stay". I believe that many people have misconceptions about the Holy Spirit, because of the fact that some versions of the Bible refer to Him as the Holy Ghost. So, they think of Him as a type of something like Casper, the friendly ghost that floats around in the air from place to place. Nothing could be farther from the truth! The Holy Spirit is a person. He is one of the three that make up "The Godhead", which is God, the Father...God, the Son...and God, the Holy Spirit. (Colossians 2:9-10)
Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit would not only live "in" us, but also live "with' us! Think about it! If you moved in with someone and followed them around everywhere they went, but never communicated with you or said anything to you or even acknowledged your presence, how do you think that would make you feel? If it happened to me, I would feel very "unwelcome" there. In fact, I think that I would move out! However, the Holy Spirit will NEVER leave us, even if we do something that grieves Him. Praise God for that!!! I will be sharing more about hosting His "presence" tomorrow.
