We were created to have a
personal, intimate relationship
and fellowship with The Lord! We
can have that kind of
relationship with Him when
we realize that it will develop
through becoming continually
aware of His "presence".
Jesus tells us in the 14th
chapter of John that the Holy
Spirit will come to abide with
us forever. To "abide" means to
"dwell, take up residence and
stay"! I believe that many
people have misconceptions about
the Holy Spirit, because of the
fact that some versions of the
Bible refers to Him as the Holy
Ghost. So, they think of Him as
a type of something like Casper,
the friendly ghost that floats
around in the air from place to
place. Nothing could be farther
from the truth! The Holy Spirit
is a person. He is one of the
three that make up "The
Godhead"; which is God, the
Father...God, the Son...and God,
the Holy Spirit. (Colossians
2:9-10)
Jesus also said that the
Holy Spirit would not only live
"in" us, but also live "with"
us! Think about it! If you
moved in with some one and
followed them around wherever
they went, but they never
communicated with you or said
anything to you or even
acknowledged your presence, how
do you think that would make you
feel? If it happened to me, I
would feel very "unwelcome"
there! In fact I think that I
would move out! However, the
Holy Spirit will never leave us,
even if it grieves Him. Praise
God for that!!!
I will be sharing a lot
more about the Holy Spirit, who
is the very "Presence" of The
Lord! Becoming more and more
"aware" of the Holy Spirit will
bring us to a place of really
understanding what it means to
be "hosting the Presence of
God! It has totally changed my
