In my last message, I said that I
would be sharing some more about the
Holy Spirit, who is the very
"Presence" of God here on Earth. He
came to abide with us for many
different reasons, and one of them
is so that He can have a personal
relationship with us. Well, guys and
gals, I can tell you for a fact,
that it takes "child-like" faith to
fellowship with Him! Jesus knew this
and that is why He told us that we
would have to come as a little child
to partake of the Kingdom of God
here on earth. How does God's Word
describe the Kingdom of God? I know
that all of you know the answer to
that question, but let's take time
to think about what it
says........The Kingdom of God is
"righteousness, peace and joy in the
Holy Spirit". Are we getting some
"revelation" here? I will be sharing
more about this in another message,
but today, I want to talk about the
"child-like" faith that we need to
have.
Think about
this........little children talk to
Jesus and pray to Him, and they
don't use words like "thee and
thou", etc. They don't have to see
Him "visibly" to believe that He is
real and that He hears them. They
just talk to Him like they talk to
their invisible playmates....
(didn't you do that when you were a
little child?) I know that I did,
and my children did, and my
grandchildren did. We know now, that
those invisible friends were
imaginary. However, we can use our
"child-like faith" to talk to and
fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and
even though He also is "invisible",
He is not "imaginary"...He is real!!
I will continue with this,
hopefully tomorrow. I am late
getting this one out, because I have
had problems most of this week. I
thought it was my computer, but it
has been with my on-line service.
