Good Morning!
I want to
continue talking about God's
COVENANT promises concerning
"lack". Not because I want you
to "focus" on the LACK in your
life, but to get you to "focus"
on the way to get rid of it!
God has a lot to say in His Word
concerning this subject, and He
is wanting all of us to KNOW
what He has to say about it!
Most people associate the word
"lack" with money or material
provisions. So, some of you may
think that this message does not
really pertain to you, simply
because you have plenty of money
and material provisions.
However, when God talks about
"lack", He does not limit it to
those things. He is talking
about any and all of His
COVENANT promises to us! In
fact, one of His
COVENANT promises to us is that
we would not "lack" ANY
beneficial thing! He also
says that He will not withhold
ANY good thing from us!
So, even if you are blessed with
an abundance of money and
material possessions, you could
still be "lacking" in some other
area of your life. For example
. . . Maybe there are times in
your life that you
experience a "lack" of PEACE,
or a "lack" of JOY, a "lack"
of SLEEP, or a "lack" of
SELF-WORTH and VALUE, or ANY beneficial
thing that you have need of!
I want to share
something with you that I
believe will help you in your
"research" of the scriptures
concerning "lack". Many times
in the Bible, the word "want"
is used to represent "lack". We
tend to think that the word
"want" relates to "desire". Let
me show you how my "lack" of
knowledge about this caused me
to feel guilty for years and
years. I still remember when I
was growing up, and would be
telling my mother about
something that I "wanted". She
would always "quote" the King
James version of Psalms 23:1 . .
. she would say, "Luanne, it
says in the bible that The Lord
is your Shepherd, you shall not
WANT". I grew up thinking that
it was wrong for me to "want"
any thing for myself! If I had
only known, that the word "want"
in that scripture really meant
that I would not have any
"lack" in my life as long as I
acknowledged The Lord as my
SHEPHERD! I know that now, but
I did not know it at that time
and so I suffered a lot of
"guilt" because of my "lack" of
knowledge about God's COVENANT
WORD! That is the reason that
I have such a strong desire to
help others get "revelation
knowledge" of God's COVENANT
WORD!
I believe that
this is a "Word in due season"
for the church. Too many of
God's COVENANT children are
experiencing "lack" in some area
of their life due to their "lack
of knowledge" concerning God's
COVENANT with them.
