The Sword of the Spirit
The sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God, has been
given to us to use as a weapon
against the attacks of the enemy.
Let's look at some of the things
that the enemy tries to attack us
with, and how we can
"counter-attack" him and his
devices!~~~~~~~
FEAR.....this is one of
his favorite "darts" to use because
he knows that we cannot operate in
fear and faith at the same time.
So, as soon as you sense the spirit
of fear coming upon you....take your
sword, put it in your mouth and
SAY:
"God has not given
me a spirit of fear! Therefore, I
WILL NOT FEAR!"
LACK.....the enemy wants
us to stay "lack-minded" because he
knows that it is actually based on
'fear'. Getting the picture? So,
when you begin to be afraid that you
won't have "enough"....take your
sword, put it in your mouth and SAY:
"The Lord is my
Shepherd! Therefore, I SHALL NOT
BE
LACK-MINDED!"
DOUBT.....another
by-product of 'fear';
causing people to waver back and
forth concerning the Word of God.
Maybe He will and maybe He won't.
When that fiery dart comes to steal
your faith....take your sword, put
it in your mouth and SAY:
"I will not try to
reason in my own mind! I SHALL
NOT BE
DOUBT-FULL!"
The Lord has used this
message to give us a brief training
course in how to "wield" the sword
of the Spirit against
the enemy. Next He will be showing
us how to change unwanted
circumstances. Are you ready for
