I feel the manifested presence of
the Holy Spirit as I begin to
prepare this next message about the
"Anointing"! The Lord is preparing
His people to "receive and release"
the anointing that is within them
and upon them so that they can
fulfill the purpose that He has for
them! There are many different
levels of anointing, but coming from
the same Holy Spirit. It depends on
what you have been "called" and
"appointed" to do! You will
understand what He just said, as I
continue with these messages!
Let's start with 1 John 2:20 (I am
reading from the Amplified
Bible)...."You hold a sacred
appointment, you have been given an
unction---you have been anointed by
the Holy One and You know the
truth". Now, let's look at verse
27...(I am going to "paraphrase" to
make it easier for you to
understand)....it tells us that
the sacred appointment is the
unction and anointing, and if you
"receive" it from Him, it will abide
in you permanently; so then you will
have no need for anyone to instruct
you. That word "instruct" is
literally translated in this
scripture as "to LEAD" you. This
does not mean that we don't need to
receive instructions and teaching
from anointed "teachers and mentors"
that are helping us to get
revelation knowledge from the Word
of God! After all, Jesus gave them
as a "gift" to us, in order to
equip, perfect and build up the body
of Christ for ministry! (Eph. 4:11 &
12)
If you will read verse 26, you will
see what He is talking about in
verse 27. Let's look at verse
26......It warns us to not let other
people deceive us and LEAD us astray
from doing what God has called us to
do and the Holy Spirit has anointed
us to do! When we have an anointing
to do something, we only need to be
LEAD by the Holy Spirit about when
and how to "release" it! More to
